Ariana & Mark

  • Cadillac Pizza Pub 112 South Kentucky Street McKinney, TX, 75069 (map)

Mark Lafon is the most decorated guitarist in the history of the Academy of Texas Music. After almost 4 decades of performing with many of the top bands across the U.S. and playing on over 250 albums as a guitarist, he released his first solo project. His highly anticipated single “Goodbye” has been widely received on multiple radio stations and podcasts, vocally giving listeners the ability to hear what he’s always wanted to say musically.

Ariana Ortiz-

“She ain’t the lady kind but she drinks seven dollar wine.” A lyric from her first upcoming single. “She Ain’t The Lady Kind”, is due to be released sometime in the next year. This is the perfect line to represent the women under the two dollar bill, which can only be seen slightly under one of those feathered hats she is infamously known for wearing. An homage to her Grandpa Fuzzy Wuzzy, who is mentioned in dedication in a song called “My Bloodline”.

Ariana Ortiz is a singer-songwriter out of Little Elm, Texas who has spent the past 10 years soaking up the Texas Country Music Scene like a sponge.

Her unique style of storytelling paints you pictures of her stories and lies with no real distinction of the two, leaving you to wonder, at the end of her shows, if she is actually “The Lady Kind”, a women named “Georgiana” from the 1940’s, or just a “Pretty Hot Mess”, as her koozies say.

This “Whiskey Woman” can make you fall in love, order three drinks at last call, “Reflect”, talk to the “Man on the Moon”, write your “Bucket List”, or find yourself taking a trip to the Hill Country to get a “River Drink” with her clear vocal precision. I would definitely recommend catching a show of hers but be prepared to go on a roller coaster ride of emotions.
